Google Analytics

MailChimp

AK Creations uses MailChimp to create a double opt-in pop-up form when you first enter the website asking you to subscribe to a mailing list. The information required to add you to this list is your email address and your name.

This list will be used by AK Creations to run occasional email campaigns to inform subscribers of new products and special offers.

The following describes how Mailchimp uses cookies for email campaigns and is taken directly from MailChimp’s website:

“ User email campaigns

We automatically place single pixel gifs, also known as web beacons, in every email sent by our users. These are tiny graphic files that contain unique identifiers that enable us and our users to recognize when their subscribers have opened an email or clicked certain links. These technologies record each subscribers email address, IP address, date, and time associated with each open and click for a campaign. We use this data to create reports for our users about how an email campaign performed and what actions subscribers took.”

Data collected by AK Creations when you place an order and how that is handled

When you place an order with AK Creations, you are taken through a Paypal hosted checkout page.

Your payment details are handled directly by Paypal and are never captured on this website. Paypal is PCI (Payment card industry) compliant and so adheres to a set of specific security standards that were developed to protect card information during and after a financial transaction.

The information that AK Creations does receive on your order is your email address, your name, your postal address and your phone number (if you gave one).

These details will only be used by AK Creations to contact you about the order you have placed.

The email AK Creations receives through Paypal as notification of your order (including the details above) is printed off for my tax records and is required by HMRC to be kept for a minimum of 5 years after the submission deadline for that tax year.

Third Parties

No personal details (email address, postal address, name and telephone number) are ever passed on to any third party by AK Creations.

Third-party service providers, such as Paypal have their own privacy policies in respect to the information you provide for your purchase-related transactions. For these providers, AK Creations recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by them.  

Consent

When you place an order with AK Creations, the personal information you provide is taken as consent to collect your data and use it for the specific purpose of dealing with that order only.

When you provide your personal information for marketing purposes (by submitting the pop-up form to be added to the mailing list) you will be asked directly for your expressed consent. Then, because AK Creations uses the double opt-in option, you will also need to verify your email address to confirm your consent to receive other contact from AK Creations by email.

AK Creations has no control over how your data is handled on other websites and therefore has no responsibility for the protection and privacy of any personal information you may provide whilst visiting other websites.
